  1. What ever happen to the American spirit of self reliance and exceptional; is it dying of a thousand knife wounds? Our liberty is always under assault from within and out from ideology, self-entitlement, enemies, PC, the list could go on. Is American spirit just dying because we lost interest in our nation’s core structure that made it exceptional? Long ago Americans would enjoy a great debate, challenge government over laws that limit commerce and liberty, insult each other, and most important, find common ground in the end or set the argument aside for debate later. Today government leads the people by the nose; your neighbor finds offense over the silliest comments, those that call themselves American wave another nation’s flag while spitting on Americans that peacefully assemble. How can that be American, where is the civil debate, acceptance, or outrage from these assaults. Americans cower, withdraw, and fear prosecution; because of words the utter may be offensive to others. Who cares if you’re racist or sexist, everyone is to a degree. If you ask Hillary Clinton whose vote she needs to be elected, she will tell you women, lesbian, gay, black, Hispanic, Asian, and Jew. Clearly this is sexist and racist because she has labeled each of these parts of America and refers to them separately. As long as politicians single out, separate, and pander to the separate parts of America, we will remain separate. If we as Americans cower or withdraw and refuse to embrace our faults or strengths, we will no longer be self-reliant nor have the right call ourselves Americans.

  4. 28 Republicans voted in Congress to pass the debt ceiling limit so it passed by 21 votes. Need to elect 11 more republicans that will not vote with the Democrats or Obama wins. Looks like politics are on hold until the elections this year.
